SATTEL CHILE COMPANY B CERTIFIED®

Sattel Chile has obtained the certification of Company B that recognizes the good policies and practices, and the commitment to aspire to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. So we join a global trend of companies that measure and manage the environmental and social impacts with the same thoroughness with which they do so with the financial impacts.

Sattel Chile has just received the certification of Company B (or B-Corporation), and is joined in this way to the business community in rapid growth at the global level that aims to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Companies B measure the impact generated by their actions in their groups and areas of interest: Workers, Community providers (distributors), Environment, Governance, and Customers and are committed to continually improve and to operate with high standards of performance and transparency. This new type of company expands in addition to the fiduciary duty to their shareholders and managers in its charter to incorporate the interests of non-financial long-term. To achieve the certification of Company B must complete the “Impact assessment B”, an online tool and free, and to achieve at least 80 points out of 200. 

Sattel Chile been shown to meet the high standards of performance required due to their good practices in the areas of environmental and social.

In the world there are more than 3,200 Companies B Certified, in 71 countries, of which 584 are Companies B of Latin Americain 15 countries.

Certification and representation in Latin America

The certifying organization is B Lab, a non-profit entity of the united States since 2006, driving the B Corps, or Companies B, (companies of triple positive impact: environmental, social and economic) in the world. 

System B is a foundation that believes that governments, civil society organizations, social movements, citizens, and the social responsibility of business, all together, are not enough to solve social and environmental problems of today. Since 2012 is allied global B Lab, in the promotion of Companies B and other economic actors in Latin America and the Caribbean, to build a new economy in which success and financial benefits incorporate social and environmental welfare.
